COURSE OUTLINE

Aseptic technique is the method used to prevent cross-contamination and the transmission of pathogens. Correct draping is critical to a successful surgical outcome.

Dr Roslyn Franklin
Dr Roslyn Franklin has 12 years experience in the public and private dental sector as a dentist in regional and metropolitan centres. After this she moved her focus from dental practice to dental assistant teaching and training and, most recently, runs her own small business specialising in dental practice accreditation and dental practice infection control with clients all over Australia.

Yvonne Fletcher
Yvonne is a register nurse and midwife. She has a wealth of experience working in day surgeries, combining clinical and management roles including staff development, WH&S, quality, accreditation (ACHS and ISO 9001) and infection prevention and control. She has completed the Graduate Certificate in Infection Control in 2007/2008, Immunisation Certificate in 2009, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2014, and became a Hand Hygiene Australia (HHA) Gold Standard Hand Hygiene Auditor & Assessor in 2016.  She is currently a member of the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control (ACICP).
