Good oral health and tips
Good oral health isn’t tricky! It is easy to keep your smile healthy and happy.
Brush twice a day, every day, using a fluoride toothpaste.
Clean between your teeth using floss or interdental brushes.
Spit, don’t rinse
Spit out excess toothpaste after brushing, but don’t rinse out your mouth with water (it will wash away the fluoride that protects your teeth).
Drinking fluoridated tap water is the best choice for your teeth!
Each time you eat foods containing sugar, you feed the bacteria in your mouth that cause tooth decay.
Use a mouthguard
If you play a contact sport, ask your dentist about a custom-made mouthguard.
Visit your dentist
Book regular check ups with your dentist to check for tooth decay, gum disease and oral cancer.
