This course will look at over the counter products avaible in various shops that your patients visit. It will assist you to guide your patients where to purchase products that you have recommended to them and make you aware of what they are being exposed to in the shopping environment. When was the last time you visited the dental care aisle in a shop?
A panel of specialists will discuss the benefits /or not of these products.
Dr Eman Elhassan is a specialist periodontist. She has completed her Specialist training in Periodontics at the University of Western Australia (DClinDent Perio). She was also awarded the Membership of the Australasian college of Dentistry in Periodontics (MRACDS Perio). She maintains a specialist private practice and is involved in lecturing and training the undergraduate and postgraduate students in Periodontics at the University of Western Australia.
Dr Elhassen has presented and published her research at various local and international conferences is also an active member of numerous dental organisations including: Australian Dental Association (ADA),Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), The Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology (ANZAP) and The International Team of Implantology (ITI).
Dr Alissa Jacobs is an Oral Medicine Specialist. Along with co-owning a specialist practice she is also a consultant at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Honarary Reseach Fellow at UWA, currently involved in the supervision of PhD students. She regularly presents continuing education courses for general dentists, allied health professionals and medical doctors both locally and nationally.
Dr Rod Jennings is a specialist paediatric dentist. He maintains a private practice and is also a Consultant Paediatric Dentist at PCH. Rod is actively involved in furthering the education of colleagues through UWA and a variety of professional development associations across the country.
